Celebrate!!

December 31st 2016

A collaged/layered altered index card using one of the freebie images Alyce at Kit and Clowder had prior to her wedding as a colouring in comp. I used colour pencils for this image and a blending stump and odourless solvent - wasn't realy the correct pape so it didn't quite turn out as I wanted but it's still okay and great for today being New Year's Eve!

Celebrate 2017!

Don't Quote Me...

December 30th 2016

Altered playing cards for a "Quote" swap for a little crafty group I belong to. We had to send a title page and quote card to two partners.

Here are my two "title" pages using collage elements from Art Tea Life:

And the two "quote" altered cards I made using images by Lisa's Altered Art and quotes from Gecko Galz.

Backgrounds are texture paste and stencil with ink sprays.

Merry Xmas...

December 25th 2016

Sharing a "multi digi stamp" angel today for Xmas using digis by Vera Lane Studio - thought it appropriate as I am joining the DT for 2017 which is super exciting!!! This "Xmas Angel" uses digis from the following sets: Curly Girl (the main girl image), Boutique Hats (Xmas Hat) and Wings for Things (the wings obviously!)

Background card is a gelli print with coloured texture paste through a snowflake stencil plus I added the snowflake charms, bit of ink sprayed muslin cloth and the computer generated "snow angel" wording!

Merry Xmas Everyone!

I'm Feeling Catty...

December 22nd 2016

This is my entry for this week's challenge at the Wicked Wednesday ATC Blog - theme of "Cats & Dogs" and of course as you know I can't do anything "normal" LOL so I've used 2 of Janet's images from Vera Lane Studio to create this "catty" gal!

The "gal" is from the Housewives Digi Set and the "cat hat" is from the Boutique Hats Digi Set - great digis because they are png files and you can mix & match and have lots of FUN!!! ATC background was from a set of precut ATC's which I added some colour to plus a piece of doiley I had used to mop up excess ink, washi tape and computer generated wording! Image coloured with Copics and colour pencils!

12 Sandra Caldwell Tags of Xmas .....

December 19th 2016
Before it's too late I had better share my 12 tags of Xmas using images by Sandra Caldwell - a Markers! Papers! Digis! Facebook Group Challenge! Sandra had 12 digis for 12 days at a reduced price in her store to complete a xmas creation each day using that image! I decided to make all mixed media tags using the images and tried to do non-traditional colours and of course some of the images are a bit non traditional! Hope you like them - they were fun to create!

Didn't think I would complete the 12 days but I did!! A great collection of tags!

A Winter Scene...

December 18th 2016
A fun wintery scene altered index card for one of this months swaps at the Gecko Galz Facebook Group.

I printed one of the images from the Winter Wishes collage set direct to the index card for my background scene. I added white puff paint to the snow on the image to give some dimension and make it look like real snow. I added some snowflake sequins and the little gal is from the Christmas Cuties collage set also by Gecko Galz. Wording is computer generated.

I coloured the digi with copics and pencils and fussy cut plus I added Diamond Glaze to the eyes. Background ATC is mixed media using old book pages, stencil, texture paste, ink sprays and some added mesh and muslin texture plus gold "Smooch" to edge the ATC and computer generated wording to finish off!! Just love this gorgeous image!

Be Yourself...

December 16th 2016

A journal page using collage elements from my favourite Etsy Store ArtTeaLife - love the quirky designs and the range of paper doll elements to make these great characters! Background page was done with my gelli plate - always such great patterns when you play with one of these plates! Added a bit of washi tape around the page and little gems - all collage images are from the collage sheet. I added the scrabble tile computer generated wording to finish it off.
