The photo above is the front of the ATC Card plus sitting behind is a card envelope I made to put the ATC in to help keep it protected in the mail - fingers crossed!! All images are Vera Lane Studio.

And here is the opened ATC Card - just love these cute gals which are available at the store! Images coloured with Copic markers. Added some texture with sticky mesh and sprayed muslin cloth. such fun to create!!

Inspiration Wednesday 11

August 30th 2015
Sharing another double page spread based on Donna Downey's Inspiration Wednesday Lessons I am doing online! Love these lessons - I'm a bit behind at the moment but plan to catch up soon!!!

I love the soft colours on these pages - I used Gelatos - sometimes I don't have exactly what is being used ion the lesson but I try to find something I already have and improvise!

Such pretty colours - I plan to do another page similar just so I can try the technique again!

More SLS Lines inspiration on the blog too along with details of our current challenge!

Oh my Gosh a Xmas Card!!!!!!!

August 26th 2015

LOL can't believe I made a xmas card!! Janet from Vera Lane Studio had a Sunday "prompt" to encourage some quick creating - you had to use 4 pieces of scrap paper and of course a Vera Lane image!! So I had some xmas style Gecko Galz scraps of paper and this great Vera Lane image printed out so a quick xmas card was the outcome!

Courage ATC Set for Tsunami Rose...

August 24th 2015

A set of ATC's made for Tsunami Rose with papers from the most gorgeous "New Beginnings" journal set - available at the Tsunami Rose Etsy Store.

Such beautiful soft coloured papers to print off and work with - these ATC's were a pleasure to make because I am a "pink" fan so creating with pink is easy for me LOL!!

So all the papers and images are from the New Beginnings pack - I just added the charms and metal corners plus the muslin coth, butterfly punchies, black backing card and the jewels/gems. beautiful! The Tsunami Rose Store has the most gorgeous paper packs to create with!

It's Time.....

August 22nd 2015

A new journal page created with one of the new release designs from SLS Lines for August - I really love this one - he has a great "60's"feel to him and the cat is cute!

Background is a patchwork of offcuts of patterned paper with a Gesso wash over it - then I stamped with a diamond Tim Holtz background type stamp. I added some hessian, muslin, a parchment clock I've had for ages, some funky washi tape and letter stickers! I really don't know what "it's time" for - maybe his first date or he's going to propose LOL - it's just a fun page!!

If you head over to the SLS Lines Blog you can see some more great inspiration from the DT with all the new release designs this month!

To the Moon and Back...

August 19th 2015
A fairly simple page for the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Progressive Challenge. This is part 2 of the challenge and the moon is the freebie image we got to work with if we entered part 1!

I used a Tim Holtz "Rays" stencil with texture paste and ink sprays on the black page background. I added the little tile letters also sprayed with inks and then mounted the moon image on sprayed muslin. The moon image is coloured with the same spray colours as everything else. I really love the effect.

"Bug"gered if I know.............

August 18th 2015

I just could not resist making this page for the current Left of Centre Creative Challenge Blog with this week's theme being "Insects". I had just bought the fantastic "Entomologist" collage style image from the Weathered Magnolia Store at Etsy - just fell in love with several images and bought them of course LOL!!!

This Entomologist is so cool and perfect for my page. I printed a full size collage "bug/insect" sheet from the Paper Symphony Store at Etsy and glued it to the journal page as the base background. Used a bit of a Gesso wash over parts of the background along with some distress ink to age it. I then made a bug stencil with my Cameo Silhouette and added the 2 bugs to the page with texture paste which I then "highlighted" with a darker distress ink and outlined with black pencil. Added some cloth to look like netting, printed the wording on kraft coloured paper, fussy cut some dragonflies from Collections and glued everything to the page.

I just love how this turned out!!!!

Colour My World!

August 17th 2015

I'm trying to catch up on posting my creations here on my blog - I have been sharing them in the FB Groups they have been made for and then not getting time to post here - but I am rectifying that by setting up lots of scheduled posts!

This journal page was made using watercolour paints on the black page and "swooshing" around with my finger to blend the colours along with a bit of white Gesso. The beautiful exotic girl is a gorgeous digi from Some Odd Girl - perfect for my page and my wording and the colours I wanted to use. The theme of the challenge I made this for was "water" so I used watercolours!

Feeling Steamy.....

August 16th 2015

A fun steampunk themed journal page that I made several months ago for the progressive challenge at the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook Group. I'm a big fan of Sandra Caldwell - one of the artists at Sweet Pea Stamps so I couldn't resist using this great image on my page and adding some great gears & cogs texture to the background along with gritty texture paste and metallic acrylic paints. The little mechanical flowers and bird are from collage sheets I have had for a very long time (flowers I think were from Dezinaworld and the bird may have been from a Gecko Galz collage sheet).

Loved creating this page and had fun colouring such a cute image!

Summer Challenge......

August 12th 2015

A great challenge this month at the SLS Lines Challenge Blog - Summer Holidays!!! LOL still Winter here so I was happy to create something "summery" so I nabbed this gorgeous mermaid and made a mixed media background for her in one of my journals, coloured her in co-ordinating colours and added her to the page along with some silhouette seaweed cut outs, sticky mesh and scrap of muslin.

Make sure you check out the SLS Lines Store - always great quirky images to create with - I can never get enough of these designs - some of my favourite images - I never tire of creating with them!
