Unruly "Botanical Collage" ATC Swap

April 27th 2015

I made these ATC's in February for a FB Swap for the Unruly Paperarts Group. I just loved making these collage style ATC's with gorgeous papers from Gecko Galz. The theme for the swap was "Botanical" which I think was covered by the nature/flower themed papers. Loved creating these and really happy with how they turned out!

It's a Girl Thing.....

April 26th 2015

My tag this week for the "It's a Girl Thing" themed challenge at the Tag Along Blog! This gorgeous image is available at the Sweet Pea Stamps Store.

Background is texture paste & sprays. I used Distress Stain to dye the ribbon and gathered it up to add to the bottom of the tag and made a bow at the top. Such a sweet image which is part of the Progressive challenge at the Sweet Pea FB Group.

Football at Cardz 4 Guyz!

April 25th 2015

Haven't played along at the Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge Blog for a little while so I decided to see if Jessica at JessicaLynnOriginal had a "football" Brentwood Owl that I could use to make a card for this challenge and of course she had one!!!

Papers I found at Etsy: 4UPrintable Designs - perfect football themed digital papers! Hope you like it - of course living in Australia I really have no idea about American Football but I love this image and the patterned papers!!!

The Roaring 20's Flappers.......

April 24th 2015

New release designs at SLS Lines - check out the SLS Lines Blog for lots of DT inspiration!

This double page journal spread is also my Week 7 Inspiration Wednesday creation from Donna Downey's lesson - having so much fun creating and working outside my comfort zone with these lessons!!

Patterned paper on the page backgrounds is from Gecko Galz and really suits the "Flapper" era! I made the "Flapper" stencil on my Silhouette. The 3 gals were coloured with Copic Markers, I added a peacock feather to match. Love how this turned out!

JLO Clockwork Dragonling

April 23rd 2015

Another "new release" stamp available at the JessicaLynnOrignal Store - I just love these Jasmine Becket-Griffith stamps which Jessica is licensed to produce as rubber stamps - this one is "Clockwork Dragonling" - just love the Steampunk theme!

I "decorated" a page ion my black journal and had a play around with some new Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays - love the shimmer it left on the black background - I took two pictures below - one to try and show the shimmer of the sprays - lovely!! I cut out "gears/cogs" on my Silhouette from gold shimmer card and added to the background along with an altered tag, some bits and pieces of fibre and fabric and finally the stamped image coloured with Copic Markers - really happy with the look of this page!

Make sure you pop over to the store and see the new release stamps and stamp sets - always something new to create with!

CASE a DT Member's ATC........

April 22nd 2015

What a fun challenge at the Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge Blog this week!! We want you to "CASE" one of the DT Members ATC's - what fun!! I'll let you know below how I did my ATC this week!! Our wonderful sponsor for this week is The East Wind so maybe if you have an East Wind image you can use it! Lots of inspiration at the WW Blog - can't wait to see the entries!!

For my ATC I used my new Lindy's Stamp Gang Flat Fabio Sprays and sprayed with water - I let that dry and printed The East Wind image onto tissue paper and once the backing card was dry I used Matte Medium to glue the image on the backing card. I went over the top of the image to really help it to blend in. Once that was dry I stamped the "Namaste" wording with little alphabet letters!

A Vintage Beauty....

April 20th 2015

Sharing a new SLS Lines Creation using yet again one of the very tasteful vintage style "nudes" available at the Etsy Store. LOL I know I've been sharing a few of these lately but I have been enjoying colouring them and creating beautiful pages and they are so nicely drawn.

I had fun with texture on this page on the background along with a few little beads. Still playing with my new Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays - love how these colours came out so soft on the gessoed & texture paste background. Image coloured with Copic Markers and I edged the page with Distress Ink and stamped the quote letter by letter! Quote is from The Quote Garden Site.

Remember the challenge at the SLS Lines Blog this month is Anything Goes so how about linking up a creation - you don't have to use a SLS Lines image but we would love to see what you can do with these great images!

In the End Everything is a Gag - Charlie Chaplin

April 19th 2015

I could not resist wanting to create a tag for the current "Charlie Chaplin" Themed inspiration at the Tag Along Blog! So I decided to ask Jessica - designer/artist extraordinaire at JessicaLynnOriginal if she had any of her wonderful "Brentwood Owl's" drawn as Charlie - she didn't but her husband immediately said she would draw one up so this image has been especially drawn just for this Tag Along Challenge and I have to say I absolutely LOVE it!!!

I added old book pages & some ephemera to the background and swiped some gesso over it then I sprayed with a brown Dylusions spray. I cut the film strip and reels from my Silhouette and added them along with some washi tape as well as the Old Typewriter Font Charlie Chaplin Quote and of course Brentwood dressed as Mr Chaplin! Love the outcome and think I really have to make another!!!

E=mc2: Talk Nerdy To Me!!!!!

April 18th 2015
Just had to share these 10 x 10 cards made for a "trade" for a FB Group I am in - theme was "It's Hip to be Square" - LOL fun theme and I had fun creating these and I hope the recipients like them!

I also want to enter them in the current Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Blog "J is for Just Kidding" Challenge - I thought these were fun cards and suited the challenge!!

Collage images from Lisa's Altered Art and were just perfect for the look I wanted. I inked around the edges of may sprayed backgrounds - I was trying out my new Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays!

Loved making these two "heart" themed APC's. The digi stamp with the blue & red is from Smeared Ink and the Pink Gingham heart is from Dilly Beans. Wording cut on my Silhouette.

This stamp is "Two Cute Dragonlings" and the other which I will share soon is "Clockwork Dragonling" - a great Steampunk style stamp - LOVE LOVE LOVE these new designs!!!

I coloured these cuties with Copic Markers and added the stamp to a black journal page which I added bright water colour paints to along with a bit of white Gesso, some sticky mesh, scrap of muslin and the "Be Kind" stickers - so cute and so great to colour!!

The Theatre at the Tag Along Challenge Blog!

April 13th 2015
Couldn't resist playing along again this week at the Tag Along Challenge Blog!!! Loved the theme of "Theatre" - of course I've gone with a "Movie Theatre" theme as opposed to the more "refined" actual "Theatre"!!! LOL I always like to be different!!

I just love this "Brentwood Owl" Popcorn Stamp from JessicaLynnOriginal - I've used him quite a lot but he's just great to colour and "accessorise"!! Base tag and the film reel are Silhouette Files - perfect for the tag along with the great movie themed digital patterned paper from KlouiseDigiArt Etsy Store - perfect with the stars and popcorn cups!

SLS Lines "Day of the Dead" Tags!

April 12th 2015

Time for a new challenge at the SLS Lines Blog and we have an easy theme this month "Anything Goes" so let's see you get your creations linked up - and although it's not compulsory to use a SLS Lines image why not pop over to the store and grab one and show us what you can make!

I've used two of the fantastic "Day of the Dead" digis available at the SLS Lines Store - so amazing to create with! I've gone with a black & kraft colour theme - images were printed on kraft card and I used old book text, washi tape & mesh on the background of the black base tags. Added some muslin, flower braid and striped material tape to finish them off! I always love creating with black & kraft!

Add a Fold to Your ATC!!

April 8th 2015

A fun and tricky challenge for you this week at Wicked Wednesday - our challenge is to add a fold of some sort to your ATC creation!!!!! Makes you think LOL!! I've added a "fan" to my ATC and I have to say I love this image from our sponsor DRS Designs!!!!! WE cannot wait to see what creative folds you can come up with this week!!!!

Some Nude Inspiration......

April 6th 2015
Warning - nude image so if this is not for you click off now!!!!!!

I so love the "nudes" available at the SLS Lines Store - there are a couple, like this one, that you can buy individually but you can purchase a "colouring book" filled with them to add to your creations. I like that they are so tasteful.

This is up at the SLS Lines Blog as my inspiration post for April - make sure you are a follower of the SLS Lines Blog so you can keep up to date with new release images, our current challenge and DT Member inspiration posts!

I used Tim Holtz tissue paper for the background of my page and added a bit of a paint "wash' over the top plus a few drops of black paint. I really thought that the image was enough of a feature so I didn't want to spoil the page with too much else besides the nude sitting on a little piece of black netting fabric and then the Silhouette Cut "Bella" wording. I did distress the edge of the page with Distress Ink. Overall I'm really happy with this page - has a nice soft, subtle feel.
